Advocate Soba Sorya, Founding Patron in Chief of Christian Lawyers Alliance Pakistan (CLAP), is a Senior Advocate High Court in Lahore, at the bar since 1982 and before the Lahore High Court since 1996. The most senior practising Christian lawyer in Pakistan, he founded CLAP in 2020 to give free legal aid to persecuted Christians and to train young Christian lawyers.

Founding Patron in Chief Advocate Soba Sorya (also written Soba Sroya) is the founder and head of Christian Lawyers Alliance Pakistan (CLAP) and a Senior Advocate High Court in Lahore. Born in Lahore, he completed his Matriculation in 1969 and his Intermediate in 1971, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the Punjab in 1976, and earned his Bachelor of Laws from Punjab University Law College in 1980. He was enrolled as an advocate by the Punjab Bar Council in 1982 and with the Lahore High Court in 1996, and has practised civil and criminal law at every level of the courts in Punjab for more than forty years. He is a Life Member of the Lahore Bar Association and the Lahore High Court Bar Association, and is recognised as the most senior practising Christian lawyer in Pakistan. Beyond the courtroom he served twelve years as General Secretary of the Minority Wing Punjab of the Pakistan People's Party, as District Member for Lahore, as Legal Advisor to Pakistan Railways and to the Evacuee Property Trust Board, and for more than ten years with the Centre for Human Rights Education. In 2020 he gathered a group of born-again, Spirit-filled Christian lawyers in Lahore and founded CLAP, so that no Christian in Pakistan would stand before a court alone. He speaks publicly on the misuse of the blasphemy laws, forced conversion, mob violence against Christians and the training of young Christian lawyers.
